MR. COFFEE Steam Espresso/Cappuccino Maker - Grey

Customer Reviews

Excellent Value - Best Machine Possible for this Price5
This low-cost, high-value espresso maker makes espresso as good or better than most restaurants. I should note that it can be purchased at Walmart for $29.99 I make perfect espresso daily and my girlfriend has mastered latte's and cappuccino's. Her friends are running out to buy this machine in droves after sampling her concoctions. We were delighted by how well it steams and makes froth. It takes a couple tries to get it all right, but can be mastered with little effort. To have enough steam for frothing, add water to the top of the metal band on the pot and switch from brew function to steam function as the coffee reaches the bottom of the band, this will allow ample steam for anything.

The general concensus has been that the drinks produced are as good as Starbucks or better. We recovered the cost of this espresso maker by the 2nd day of usage. It gets 5+ stars for an overall excellent product (the quality of drinks) and the same rating for overall value. Get one!

Good enough for entry level espresso machine but shop for lower price4
I bought this at Walmart at a significantly lower price. I would not have paid any more than I did or I would have considered the lower end pump systems instead.

Aside from that, this machine makes adequate 'espresso like' coffee & the foamer does ok; it warms the milk but the foam isn't silky, it is bubbly. But it works good for a home made latte. I also enjoy making hot chocolate with it for my kids & the foam is better than marshmallows or whipped cream. I am pleased with my purchase because I was just trying to see if I would actually use one at home. Now I know I will. My next purchase will be a pump version that makes real espresso instead of the steam type.

I would recommend this for a first time espresso machine owner only IF you can get the lower price - I paid 15 dollars less than the current Amazon price. So, for a bit over 20 bucks, I am very pleased!

I would also recommend getting a frothing pitcher, like the Krups 20oz to go with this machine.

It is fun to use too! & the results are tastey!

makes good cappuccinos/lattes4
used to work in coffee shops. Would be nice if there were separate water compartments for expresso and steaming, but what do you want for the price? little inconvenient but i can make drinks comparable to what i get at the coffee shop for lots less money and without leaving the house. really pleased with it so far. doesn't take up too much counter space either, which was definitely a consideration for my studio apt.
